Is $1,600 really the total legal fee?

Yes. $1,600 incl. GST covers our professional fees for a standard purchase, from contract through to settlement. Government charges, searches and land transfer duty are payable in addition. If you need anything outside the standard purchase process, such as a caveat, licence agreement or nomination, we'll let you know the additional cost before proceeding.

When do I pay?

At settlement. Your legal fee is settled with everything else on settlement day. Nothing is due to get started.

How fast do you respond?

The same business day. If we can't meet that, we'll tell you immediately.

Do you use conveyancers or lawyers?

Lawyers. Every matter is handled by experienced Australian property lawyers who work in Victorian property law.

I haven't signed yet. Should I get a review first?

Yes. Cooling-off in Victoria is three clear business days, and none at all at auction. Send us the contract before you sign and we'll review it free, no obligation.
