Prepare Australians to buy and sell with confidence.

Prepared is a tech-forward law firm focusing on conveyancing. We’ve just opened our doors and, through our partnerships, we’re starting to expand.

We’re a team of people who want to create a great work environment that’s flexible, friendly and recognises great work.

Hiring now

Location:
Hybrid 2 days available as WFH / On-site location is Richmond, Victoria.

Expected salary range:
~$115,000 inclusive superannuation in line with experience.

We move fast so buyers can move home. Prepared puts expert contract reviews right where buyers need them and turns legal chaos into calm. If you’re a sharp property lawyer who loves clarity, speed and real impact, you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll do
  • Run files end-to-end across contract reviews, negotiations and settlements

  • Be the buyer’s ally: translate fine print into plain English and actionable next steps

  • Lift the bar on ops — help refine playbooks, templates and tech that make great work even faster

Why Prepared
  • Impact at buyer speed: we compress weeks into hours — the advice that wins homes

  • Serious law, modern tools: you’ll practise as a lawyer (not just process files) with tech that removes drudgery and amplifies expertise

  • Growth built-in: pathways to senior, lead and operations roles for people who improve how the whole practice runs

Your experience:
Satisfactory completion of supervised legal practice (SLP) condition
Eligible for/holding a current un-restricted practising certificate.
Demonstrated end to end conveyancing experience with 2 years + relevant experience.

About you:
Demonstrated ability to autonomously run standard residential conveyancing files. By 4 years PAE you should have a strong grasp of residential conveyancing end to end and a plan for ideal career progression.

Conveyancing is seasonal. We actively plan to avoid over‑extension, resource ahead of demand, and recognise extra contributions during spikes. Your wellbeing and performance both matter.

Pathways

1) Senior File Handler

Love the craft? Run a measured caseload, lead complex files, and be the buyer’s ally from first scan to settlement.

2) Operations Leader

Prefer to improve the engine room? Keep precedents current, tune processes, uplift tooling and delivery. You’ll still be close to files and ready to assist during spikes.

3) Supervisor & Mentor

Born to lead? Coach lawyers, review complex issues, resolve escalations and help shape a best‑in‑class practice.

Conveyancing is seasonal. We actively plan to avoid over‑extension, resource ahead of demand, and recognise extra contributions during spikes. Your wellbeing and performance both matter.
